What is Telnet
Telnet offers a way to log into and work from another computer. By logging into another
system, users can access Internet services that they might not have on their own computers.
Other computer systems may offer extensive newsgroups, the latest versions
of popular software, group games, or live chat rooms. Telnet offers a way to log into and

Telnetting from a remote network
If you wish to reach shell.w-link.net from your office, school, or another ISP's network, you will need to know the IP address from which you will be telnetting in. For security reasons, Worldlink does not allow telnet connections from unknown IP addresses. If you wish to have us allow you to telnet from another network, please call or email technical support (support@w-link.net) with the IP address you will be accessing us from. In some cases, we can open up access to a range of IP addresses (such as a class C) or several individual addresses.
